Company Information: Salsas El Don was created from the products of traditional family recipes that were made in small portions and passed from family to family. These traditional salsas were formerly started under the label Salsas El Don in August 2017 in McAllen Texas as an informal startup home business founded by Jose Gomez and his wife Dulce Gomez, and in March 2019 Sanababisquet Foods LLC was formed in Houston Texas.
Growth Highlights: We started our first batch with 20 Salsas of only 1 flavor and have never stopped since, after 6 months we averaged with 1 meat shop, direct sales and social media 150 bottles a month. As of March 2019, we have 4 different products and only 2 retail spots (1 in Mission Tx and 1 in Reynosa Mexico) with an average of 350 bottles a month. Since we moved from McAllen Texas to Houston in the summer of 2018 we started doing local markets every weekend and now we have this amazing portal to sell all over the US.
Our Products: A fusion of old school homemade, freshest ingredients, and modern Mexican salsas that go great with anything.
Salsa de Chile de Arbol: Garlic, chile de árbol, canola oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
Salsa Verde: Jalapeno pepper, serrano pepper, canola oil, vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper.
Salsa Habanero: Habanero pepper, serrano pepper, jalapeno pepper, lemon juice, mustard, spices.
Seasoning rub: Mix of salt, pepper, chili powder, lime powder and condiments.
The results are products that can add zest to food that also enhances the culinary experience with unique flavors from the traditions of Mexico.
